About our Guides & Staff:

If you love rivers, nature, people, challenges and hard work then working for us is a stimulating job. We have the greatest playground on earth in Futaleufú. Our guides need language skills, people skills, rescue skills, teaching skills, an incredible work ethic, passion, and experience on very big whitewater. I have been teaching and guiding for over thirty years. I know what makes a great guide. This is my hand picked team. Not all of our recruits make it past our intensive staff training that includes a international river rescue certification. Some guides can not adapt to the conditions of the river and are cut during the season. Being included on the "exchile team" is the highest all-star recommendation I can give a guide. I am proud to be associated with my select partners in giving you your dream trip. The break down includes Canadians, Chileans, Americans, Argentinians, and South Africans. Not only is this crew clean cut, they are great people.

They have strong educational backgrounds and some are graduates of what we feel is the ultimate guide training in the world based in Canada, (WILD) the Whitewater Intensive Leadership Development school. Most are bilingual. Some own their own companies elsewhere in the world yet still want to work with us during their winter season.
