Guaranteed Departures

The Expediciones Chile season runs from Dec 1st to April 15th. During that time we are fully staffed which allows us to run all of our trips as they are scheduled, with very few exceptions. Almost all trips are guaranteed to depart except in the event of a natural disaster or other similarly disruptive event that is beyond our control. Seasoned travellers are well aware that many tour operators cancel departures because of insufficient numbers. Our guaranteed departure policy means that you can book you trip in total confidence that it will operate. In our twenty years of history we have only cancelled trips due to extreme weather. This same guarantee applies to travel agents who are booking thier clients with us. The few trips that are not guaranteed to depart (because we need a minimum number, or may be already booked / overbooked) are listed below. For these trips please call our office to verify the trip dates and departure status.

Cancellation / Itinerary Changes Due to Unsafe Conditions:

While Expediciones Chile will make every attempt to operate a trip once confirmed, we do reserve the right to cancel a trip, at any time, due to reasons beyond our control that might create unsafe or undesirable travel conditions for the participant. In such case, a full refund (or prorated refund) will be issued depending on the circumstances. However, the financial liability of Expediciones Chile shall be limited to the amount paid to Expediciones Chile for the tour only and shall not be extended to cover any other associated travel costs incurred (e.g. non refundable air tickets, clothing, equipment, miscellaneous transportation costs, medical expenses, travel insurance premiums, etc.) We also reserve the right to make itinerary changes, at any time, when unsafe conditions arise that are beyond our control.
